What’s been happening:

Following graduation from Penn State and receiving my law degree from Dickinson School of Law, I spent three years as an Assistant Attorney General before joining the law firm of Jubelirer, Carothers, Krier & Halpern in Altoona, PA. where I served as its Managing Partner for thirty years. My practice centered on corporate representation with a significant amount of time spent in litigation. One of the highlights of my law career was the opportunity to serve the profession on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Disciplinary Board, appointed by the Court as a Member and ultimately as its Chair. In 2000 I started Equity Concepts North, LLC., a wealth management firm. I serve as its President and one of the wealth managers while remaining of counsel at the Law Firm. ECN principally serves professionals; lawyers, physicians and CPAs. My firm is affiliated with a Richmond office and together we have fourteen advisors. In addition to my wealth management practice, I am a professional mediator having received certification at the Pepperdine School of Law. I am happily married to Sandra and have two great kids, Hugh Halpern and Lauren Cohn, and three grandsons. Sandra and I enjoy traveling, biking and sailing. Our boat, NeverADoubt, is our second home in Annapolis, MD.
